M-O-S Project Up For Orange County Music Award
-Band Fronted by Adria Force Hight nominated in Best Electronic Band category-
YORBA LINDA, CA (March 29, 2008) --- Formed in February of 2005 the M-O-S Project – My Own Sunset Project - has been on the traditional up and down roller coaster most bands experience. Fronted by Adria Force, daughter of 14-time Funny Car World Champion John Force, M-O-S Project is halfway through their first album and is enjoying the creative process.
Tonight the ride reached a new peak as they found themselves nominated in the Best Electronic Band category at the Orange Country Music Awards. The band sent in a track on a whim and was pleasantly surprised it was selected for consideration. Unfortunately, the night did not end in celebration but rather motivational satisfaction.
“We were very surprised and thankful just to be nominated with so many other great bands in Orange County! We were in shock when we were nominated and we feel as if we'd won just by being considered,” said Adria Hight.
Adria is also married to Funny Car competitor Robert Hight and her sister Ashley Force also competes in the Funny Car class on the NHRA POWERade Series.
“I brought some girlfriends tonight and we just enjoyed the whole experience. We are hoping to have our first album done in a couple months,” added Ms. Force.
M-O-S Project members include Gonzalo “Gonzo” Hernando (songwriter/vocals/guitar/ harmonica), Adria Hight (songwriter/vocals/percussion), Enrico “Ric” Hernando (songwriter/vocals/guitar/bass/keys) and Rich Smith (songwriter/vocals/drums).
