LARRY BECK was not only a great friend to many car show enthusiasts, he was also the epitome of courage, positive attitude and truly caring for your fellow man. Larry fought a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer, and was taken from us on March 21, 2006. But his memory and inspiration will be with us forever. His showmanship, crazy trivia questions and huge smile will always be apart of the John Force Cruise Nights and Holiday Car Show. His wife Paula has committed to continue on the spirit of Larry at the shows, and keep the “BECK STAGE” a fun place for street rodders!!!!
All future John Force Cruise Nights will spotlight the PanCAN Organization and its fight against pancreatic cancer. Every seventeen minutes someone in the United States dies from pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is the 4 th leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Approximately 32,000 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. Despite these statistics, pancreatic cancer receives the least amount of research funding from the federal government of all major cancers. PanCAN was founded in 1999 to change these statistics. They need our help – Please join the fight! For additional info on PanCAN and their programs please visit their website: www.PanCAN.org or call them at: 877-272-6226.
